After eight long years of Boy George Bush, do we-the-people really want another clueless, mentally incapacitated president who is unable to make the necessary foreign policy distinctions between Sunni and Shia, between Saudi Arabia and Iran?
While the conservative cable “news” channels continue their ridiculously racist, guilt-by-association attacks against Illinois Democratic Senator Barack Obama—not for anything Obama said, but for what Obama’s former pastor once said in anger years ago—the 71-year-old senile Senator John McCain and his crazy crew of spiritual advisors have recently been able to say any outrageous thing they want, with impunity, and virtually without notice by the Republican-owned corporate media.
For instance: “On February 26, McCain appeared at a campaign rally in Cincinnati with the reverend Rod Parsley…McCain…called the evangelical minister a ‘spiritual guide’ …Parsley warns there is a war ‘between Islam and Christian civilization’. He continues…’The fact is that America was founded, in part, with the intention of seeing this false religion destroyed’ …” [www.motherjones.com]
McCain, who once correctly labeled Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell “agents of intolerance,”has also recently joined up with Reverend John Hagee, a Texas televangelist who calls the Catholic Church “the great whore” and a “false cult system.”Hagee also claims that Hurricane Katrina was God’s wrath on New Orleans’ gay and lesbian community, for their supposedly sinful ways.
Please vote this November fourth. Send insane John McCain and his cuckoo conservative crew into retirement—right where “the straitjacket express” belongs!
