Immaculate Deception by Marvin Sieger
IMMACULATE DECEPTION
MARVIN SIEGER
Ah, last of the many virgin queens,
Tho’ you were birthed by natural means
It was decided you be the exception,
And so was born the Immaculate Deception.
Tho’ all else mortals harbor evil taint
It was declared you arrived a saint.
And the only, since creation did begin,
To be free of original sin.
Toast the glory of the Palestine peasant
And the storied recital, though bent.
What difference that others deem her soiled,
To the faithful she’s pure and unspoiled.
So here’s to the tale of the virgin who fell.
The desert princess whose romance they sell.
Yes it was avowed you be the exception,
And so was born the Immaculate Deception.
…
Oh Mary, heaven’s chastest maid,
How many times have you been laid?
In the scriptures it is said
That children six or more you bred.
Did aged Joseph have a hand
In the birthing of this band?
It is written in ancient fable
That he was eighty and you but twelve.*
Was withered Joseph truly able?
When you did span did Old Joe delve?
*According to the book of James. Joseph is 80 years old
with grown children and Mary is 12.
